Are Record Stores Making a Return?

What goes around comes around — the Recording Industry Association of America reports that vinyl records are likely to outsell CDs in 2019. It’s the first time in 30 years that records have come out on top — not surprising when you figure that 62 percent of popular music is purchased through streaming services. Vinyl accounted for only 4 percent of music sales. But vinyl continues to hang around as more and more people gravitate towards new vinyl as a way to express their fandom in an old school way.
