HQ MAGAZINE WRITER RELEASE AGREEMENT
Effective as of the date of submission
This Agreement is made between HQ Magazine (“Publisher”) and the undersigned contributor (“Writer”), regarding the submission of original written content (the “Work”) for publication.
1. Grant of Rights
Writer grants HQ Magazine the irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right to use, reproduce, publish, modify, distribute, display, and promote the submitted Work in any and all formats, including but not limited to print, digital, web, video, podcast, and social media, now known or later developed, in perpetuity.
2. Exclusivity
Writer affirms that the submitted Work is original and exclusive to HQ Magazine. The Writer agrees not to submit, license, or publish the Work, in whole or in part, to any other publication or platform without prior written consent from HQ Magazine.
3. Ownership and Attribution
While the Writer retains copyright of the Work, HQ Magazine reserves the right to edit, format, retitle, or excerpt the content as needed for clarity, space, or editorial style. The Writer will be credited appropriately when the Work is published.
4. No Compensation
The Writer acknowledges that no financial compensation will be provided for the submission or use of the Work. This submission is made on a voluntary, unpaid basis.
5. Originality and Legal Compliance
The Writer affirms that the Work is their original creation and does not violate any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights. The Work does not contain defamatory, libelous, or unlawful content. The Writer agrees to indemnify and hold HQ Magazine harmless from any claims or liabilities resulting from the submission or publication of the Work.
6. Right to Decline or Remove
HQ Magazine reserves the right to decline to publish the Work, or to remove it from any platform at any time, at its sole discretion, without prior notice.
7. Entire Agreement
This document represents the entire agreement between HQ Magazine and the Writer. No oral statements or prior agreements shall have any force or effect.
8. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted under the laws of the State of New Mexico.
